How to have eternal life. By brother Derick.
It takes only grace for your name to be written in the book of life, You may do everything to please human or God but at the end your name will not be written in the book of life.
To have eternal life, There are some certain things the Bible has specified for us to do before we can have everlasting life.
I will outline some points drawn from verses in the Bible for you to understand what you need to do to have eternal life.
Before I give you the points, let's read Luke 28 verses 18 to 25
" A Jewish leader asked Jesus, "Good Teacher, what must I do to receive eternal life?"
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus asked him. "No one is good except God alone.
You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery; do not commit murder; do not steal; do not accuse anyone falsely; respect your father and your mother.
The man replied, "Ever since I was young, I have obeyed all these commandments."
When Jesus heard this, he said to him,
"There is still one more thing you need to do. Sell all you have and give the money to the poor, and you will have riches in heaven; then come and follow me."
But when the man heard this, he became very sad, because he was very rich.
Jesus saw that he was sad and said, "How hard it is for rich people to enter the Kingdom of God!
It is much harder for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle."
The people who heard him asked, "Who, then, can be saved?"
Jesus answered, "What is humanly impossible is possible for God."
Hallelujah!
Now you have read let's now pick out some points from the message.
How to have eternal life
1, Do not commit adultery: Do not go to bed with another man's wife or husband, from the Bible, it's clear that if you do this, your name is automatically cancelled from the book of life. So, to have eternal life, you only have to respect this commandment.
2. Do not Commit Murder: According to the Bible, if you do this, your place in heaven is cancelled.
3. Do not steal: Heaven is not a place for theives, you only have to follow God's work practically to secure your place in heaven.
4. Respect your mother and father: It's certain that if you respect your parents, you will definitely bound to God. So to gain everlasting Life, you need to be submissive to your parents. This is from the Bible.
5. Don't say something wrong about others: Saying falsely about others will cancel your place in heaven. This is true especially when you speak falsely about men of God.
6. Humble yourself: When Jesus was preaching, a man told him that but I have done all these things from childhood. Jesus asked him to sell everything and follow him. The man became angry and Jesus said it's difficult for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.
So you might do all these things, if you are not humble and think you are doing it to please God, you will never receive eternal life.
7: Believe: In John 3 v 16 "For God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not die but have eternal life." So, if you don't believe Jesus, you will not have eternal life.
All these points plus the ten commandments will secure your place in the kingdom of God.
Practice them with faith and be blessed in the name of Jesus.
